<p>Noncitizen immigrants lawfully residing in California would be eligible for <a href="http://topics.sacbee.com/jury+duty/" rel="nofollow">jury duty</a> under a bill that cleared the Assembly on Thursday.</p>
<p>Current state law allows only <a href="http://topics.sacbee.com/U.S.+citizens/" rel="nofollow">U.S. citizens</a> to serve on juries.
